The Domino Project in conjunction with Box of Crayons is working with Malaria No More to help end malaria. Today is the day for YOU to be a philanthropist and save lives when you buy our book End Malaria. End Malaria just won The Eric Hoffer Award for the category “Culture”!
End Malaria will strike some as an odd title for a business book. But the number-one lesson in storytelling? Never bury the lead. The purpose of this compilation is to raise funds for the fight against malaria—a preventable and treatable disease that is spread by mosquitoes and kills more than 750,000 people every year. End Malaria puts the charitable mission of this project at center stage.
In addition to saving lives, buying this book means you can enjoy essays by 62 of America’s favorite business authors, including Tom Peters, Seth Godin, Alan Webber, Daniel Pink, Nicholas Carr, Pam Slim, and Sir Ken Robinson—and yes, Yours Truly-me!!!
Organized into three main sections—Focus, Courage, and Resilience—all essays in End Malaria share a desire to inspire readers to look within themselves for solutions to their everyday dilemmas and for motivation to realize their desires.
This book is a great example of how doing good makes good business sense. By purchasing End Malaria, you’ve donated $20 to Malaria No More to support our efforts to stop children from dying from the absurdity of a mosquito bite. Not a bad payout for helping families in Africa protect their children from a deadly disease.
Look for it also on AMAZON—both paper back as well as digital. Amazon is a HUGE sponsor.
Bullet Points
- The book is called: End Malaria: Bold Innovation, Limitless Generosity, and the Opportunity to Save a Life

- None of the contributors or the publishing house are taking any money from sales, and Amazon makes no profit
- The book has 62 thought leaders (download PDF list of contributors) writing around the topic of Great Work – how to do more of the stuff that matters and less of all the other stuff that fills up your day
- Includes such luminaries as Tom Peters, Gary Vaynerchuk, Sir Ken Robinson, Brene Brown, David Allen, Sally Hogshead and Mitch Joel
- Divided into eight key areas of insight, including: Create Freedom, Disrupt Normal and Take Small Steps

- $20 sends a mosquito net to a family in need and supports life-saving work in the fight against malaria
- Malaria No More’s mission is to end malaria in Africa by 2015
- A child dies every 45 seconds from malaria
Hi Eileen,
I was captivated by your poignant, plain-speak essay in the End Malaria book. On Facebook this evening, a friend I haven’t seen for years talked about someone I never met: A woman — 36 years of age. She went to bed last night – but didn’t wake up this morning.
I went to her Facebook and Twitter accounts. Oddly, I was compelled to “follow” her. Her tweets were “here”, alive, vibrant and “now”. But she’s gone.
I lay here sleepless, assuming that I’ll eventually fall asleep… and wake up in a few hours.
— But one never knows.
Obviously your entry struck a cord with me. Looking forward to staying in touch as I start not-waiting… to do my work.
Best regards,
Craig Arthur James
