How Motivational Speaker
Eileen McDargh Works
Powerful Presentations REQUIRE Powerful Preparation
I don’t think you hire me to speak. You hire me to prepare. It’s the attention
to detail and the research that makes the difference. Sure it takes time. But—you’re
giving me yours.
Here are just some of the ways I’ll create a meaningful connection with your audience:
ON-SITE preparation includes:
Schedule permitting, I’ll arrive in time to meet with you, attend earlier sessions,
take photos, talk with participants, and get an up-to-the-minute feel that is impossible
with just a phone conversation.
Weave your theme into my message and, as appropriate, tie in the comments of other
I’ve been know to be an anonymous registrar, to hand out programs, and to re-arrange
Time permitting; I’ll meet with anyone who wants to talk more about my presentation.
(Sometimes, people just need the 1:1 attention. Some folks want to share their
story. And some people want advice. I am YOURS until travel demands that I leave)
PRE-EVENT research includes, based upon your needs:
Conduct conference calls with key personnel, customers, and/or employees.
Read all materials you send me in order to understand your background, challenges,
triumphs and concerns.
Work with production crews to insure a seamless transition, music cues (if appropriate)
and optimum audio visual preparation.
Consult, as requested, in the program design and flow as well as in the verbiage
used to market the event. Having worn the hat of meeting planner and also consulted
to a wide variety of clients, I have a wealth of ideas and expertise that is yours
for the asking.

Clients say it makes ALL the difference in the world! How great
it was to work with you and how impressive it was that you tailored your keynote
session for our program. I am so glad you were able to join us a day earlier and
that you used your time wisely while you were in Louisville… sitting in
on the Friday morning keynote speaker, visiting with our members, staff, committee
and sponsors, and joining us for the Comedy Hour. Many speakers remain in their
guest rooms, but certainly you see the value in networking with our attendees and
immersing yourself in our program. Your hard work and dedication certainly paid
off in your presentation to our members. How clever you were to include the “B&B”
joke which fit our industry well. I also appreciate your recognizing our premier
sponsor NOVALIS as a part of your session. I am thankful to have worked with you
professionally and glad to get to know you personally.
—American Nursery & Landscape Association
"The California Community College of Occupational Educators (CCCAOE) hired Eileen McDargh as the keynote on Cultivating Radical Resiliency: How to Grow Stronger in Challenging Times.” Eileen was “over-the-top” in understanding her audience. She was riveting, thought provoking, inspiring and entertaining. She captured the essence of the audience by knowing the day-to-day challenges in post-secondary education and providing a much needed elixir to a thirsty, and tired group of administrators. She provoked emotion, understanding and laughter. Comments from the field included: “wonderful, excellent, uplifting, positive, forward thinking, fabulous facilitator, awesome and one of the funniest speaker we’ve had!” I highly recommend Eileen as she understands leadership, and how to cultivate resiliency."
