According to a survey released by the Association of Executive Search Consultants, 85% of 477 senior executives, 85% of the men surveyed said that work/life balance is more important to them than ever before. Fifty-five percent said they are less willing now to take a job that requires frequent business travel. In spite of the growing evidence that both genders are looking for better balance in their lives, many companies fall short in offering programs to help them achieve balance. I find this reality akin to the old head-in-sand approach. What will it take for companies to wake up to that?
