Update from Eileen
I’ve always loved September and memories of going back to school. This year, much angst surrounds in-class learning, masks, you name it. I decided to take a different approach and ask: what can adults learn without wearing masks? The answer: you learn by paying attention.
Baton Leadership-Lessons From LA Philharmonic Conductor Dudamel
Imagine a crusty group of seasoned professionals standing, applauding, and cheering a 28-year-old leader turned a same-old-same-old product into something fresh and exciting! How About Another Lesson?
Can you imagine wanting to make sure you drove by a certain gas station every day? Just to see what the message was on the chalk board? It's true—a gas station has become quite a landmark in Gauteng, South Africa, with its daily #PetrolPumpWisdom, which are uplifting quotes written on a chalkboard. Some people say they deliberately travel this route just to read the quote which brightens their day.
Gratitude: The Gift that Keeps on Giving
In dark times like these, here are some questions to ponder that might spread some sunshine and hope. How might you answer these:
What abilities do I have that I am grateful for?
What is one kind or thoughtful thing someone did for me recently?
What is one kind or thoughtful thing I did recently for someone?
Who do I appreciate and Why? (and when you decide—tell them!)
Remember, you don’t have to chase happiness. Be still. Pay attention and you’ll see it.
Say thank you.

Thaely was initially developed as design exercise by our founder Ashay Bhave to develop an ethically produced sneaker that only uses components recycled from waste materials. The aim of the exercise was to find a solution to the problem of the 100 billion plastic bags used each year that use 12 million barrels of oil and kill 100,000 marine animals annually.
