Update from Eileen
I must have blinked!!! How is it that 2022 is over half-way gone? I know that between virtual speaking engagements, live programs, and an amazing three weeks in Alaska the year has zoomed.
Yes, ZOOM. How did that word become our code for connecting through the virtual space? It’s still my most favorite platform over the multiple other platforms that still leave much to be desired for engagement, quality, ease, and education.
And considering that new variants of COVID are swirling around the world, ZOOM will remain viable and important.
Here’s the point. This summer, in whatever fashion you choose, reach out and connect with those you love. Soon, I’ll join my sister in Los Angeles where we will pick up my twin brother, John, and the three of us will have six days of sibling time. We’ll kick it off by zooming with our 95-year-old aunt in Pennsylvania, and then—it’s all about “us”. We have NEVER had time to be with just “us”. Think about it: high school, college, marriage, family—all events that involve so many others. So, we determined that we wanted to really know, understand, and grow closer as siblings. We’ll eat, drink, play, laugh and yes—cry from what was and what is. No more excuses for putting it off.
My challenge: whom will you reach out to this month? Let’s live with no regrets.
Jump’n Jimmeny, It's July!!

Must Read Book!
Let’s Talk About Death Over Dinner
by Michael Hebb
Death—it’s the one thing we have in common and it’s the one thing very few of us are willing to talk about. And yet—not knowing what our beloveds want, what is important, how they wish to be remembered, leaves a final chapter not written and one big question mark.
I find this book to be a marvelous, gentle guide for creating those conversations that can move from difficult to liberating. You won’t sit and read this all at once. Instead, Hebb offers “prompts” that can open the gates to this important dialogue,
And guess what—there’s great relief for all of us.
Thoughts on Life… Sound familiar?
Becoming an adult is the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.
The ability to speak several languages is an asset, but the ability to keep your mouth shut in any language is priceless.
Tip for a successful marriage: Don’t ask your wife when dinner will be ready while she’s mowing the lawn.
Does anyone else have a plastic bag full of plastic bags, or is it just me?
GIFTS FROM THE MOUNTAIN.. Pithy. Powerful. Watercolor pictures on every facing page.
